How you book

Journeys are booked by enquiry to the Auckland office (Level 1, 10 Federal Street) or through a travel agent. Quotes are valid for 7 days, and the itineraries can be changed. Surcharges apply during the Naadam Games and, for the western journey, during the eagle festivals.

Tailor-made travel needs a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the invoice within 7 days of confirmation. The final payment is due 60 days before departure or by the deadline on the final invoice, whichever is earlier. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard or American Express through Windcave, with a service fee. The price is guaranteed once paid in full, except for tax, levy and fuel changes. Prices are in NZD and change with exchange rates.

Cancelled bookings incur charges of at least 20% of the total booking value plus any supplier penalties, and up to 100%. Amendments within 60 days of departure are charged full cancellation fees. The site also shows a "World Assurance Policy" banner saying deposits on new bookings are transferable or refundable until 45 days before travel, subject to terms; that policy page returned 404 when checked.
