Berlin tour operator founded in 1994 to run individual study and adventure trips, concentrating on eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Russia and Central Asia. It runs group trips only in exceptional cases, which the site marks as a 'Gruppen-Special'. Its offers are price examples for private trips from two people on dates the client chooses, and one specialist handles Russia, the Trans-Siberian and Mongolia. Seven Mongolia offers were listed on 2026-09-23, from a 3-day riding module to a 24-day round trip. They include modules meant to be added to a Trans-Siberian rail journey and a 16-day trip that continues by train into China.

How you book

Each trip page has a request-a-quote form, and the site also has a step-by-step trip configurator. The price depends on how many people book together, and private groups of more than nine get an individual quote. Every itinerary can be changed on request. International flights are not in the price examples; Ventus will book them at current fares and adds a mandatory atmosfair CO2 contribution when it does. Visas are handled through the partner visumPOINT at a discount. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30.

A deposit of 20% of the trip price, capped at 1,000 EUR per person, is due on signing, against a security certificate. It can be higher when flight fares are higher. The balance is due 30 days before departure, and bookings made within two weeks of departure pay in full at once. Working out an individual trip carries a 90 EUR service fee, which is set against the booking.

Cancellation charges as a share of the total price: up to 91 days before departure 20%; up to 31 days 40%; up to 21 days 50%; up to 8 days 65%; up to 2 days 80%; after that 90%. Minor changes cost a 30 EUR handling fee. Changes of destination, date or hotel count as a cancellation and rebooking.

Registered at Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, HRB 176414 B. Trips are sold as package holidays under EU Directive 2015/2302, and customer payments are insured through tourVERS Touristik-Versicherungs-Service GmbH.
