Berlin operator of walking, cycling and riding trips, mainly to Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia; it traces its history to 1985 and says it has offered Mongolia trips since 1993. On 2026-09-23 it listed five Mongolia trips: four fixed-date small-group tours of 19–22 days with 2027 departures and flights from Frankfurt included, and one riding tour bookable from 2 people on any date between mid-June and mid-September. Most Mongolia departures are led by the same German-speaking tour leader, whose family also helps organise the ground arrangements.

How you book

Bookings are made online by clicking 'buchen' next to a departure and sending the form; an acknowledgement email follows at once, then a confirmation and invoice, the insolvency certificate and preparation notes within a few days. Solo travellers can book half a double room up to 30 days before departure; if no roommate signs up the single supplement is charged and refunded if one later does. Minimum group sizes are 4 or 5 (2 for the riding tour), and the operator may cancel if the minimum is not reached. The Mongolia contact is Tilo Lamm (tilo@biss-reisen.de).

A 20% deposit is due after the booking confirmation; the balance must arrive no later than 28 days before departure. Rail&Fly train tickets to the airport cost 95 € extra.

Cancellation charges: 20% of the total price up to the 45th day before departure, 25% up to the 21st day, 50% up to the 11th day, and 85% from the 10th day or for a no-show. A substitute traveller can be named up to 7 days before departure.

Licence and membership

No licence number published. The imprint names biss Aktivreisen, Tilo Lamm, 'Reiseveranstalter und Reisevermittler', Fichtestr. 30, 10967 Berlin, VAT ID DE273045644. Each Mongolia product page names biss Aktivreisen as the tour organiser, and the booking information says customers receive an insolvency-protection certificate (Sicherungsschein).
